Future Immortals Tour Connects with Community Through Health and Wellness Event

As part of the Arthur Beetson Foundation Future Immortals Tour, players, ambassadors, and community members came together today for a health and wellness event that highlighted the importance of connection, education, and community engagement.

Held in a welcoming community setting, the event provided an opportunity for local families to connect with health and wellbeing services while spending time alongside some of rugby league’s most respected ambassadors.

Throughout the afternoon, the event continued to grow as more community members arrived to take part in the activities, creating a strong atmosphere of positivity and connection.

Families enjoyed a range of activities, while health and wellness exhibitors shared information, resources, and support services with those attending. The event created a valuable platform for conversations around healthy lifestyles, community wellbeing, and the importance of accessible support services.

A key objective of the Future Immortals Tour is to create meaningful engagement beyond the football field, using sport as a vehicle to bring communities together and provide opportunities for education, inspiration, and connection.

Today’s event was another example of that mission in action, with players and community members sharing stories, building relationships, and spending quality time together in an environment focused on wellbeing and support.

As the tour continues throughout the region, moments like these demonstrate the lasting impact that can be achieved when sport, community, and health organisations work together to create positive outcomes for local people.

The health and wellness event was a strong reminder that some of the most important moments on tour happen away from the game itself—through conversations, connections, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference within the community.
